Silver Shield Collective Bargaining Agreement

I would like to ask voters to carefully consider who has in mind the interest of our community and our state when it comes to public safety and to vote Kathleen Stowe for the state House of Representatives in the 149th district. Kathleen Stowe, the Democratic candidate for the Federal State Representative for district 149, poses on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at her home in Greenwich, Conn. I was surprised to read that, for the first time since its inception in 1958, the Greenwich Police Silver Shield Association supported a political candidate in a local race. I had not thought partisanly about our police service or its union before this support. The association claims that under the Police Accountability Act (H.B it was forced to take this unprecedented step. 6004), recently passed by the Connecticut State Assembly, but none of the candidates running for State House in the 149th District (Greenwich, Stamford) voted on this law, as none of the candidates currently holding public office. Also, I am surprised by this insult because Kathleen Stowe (a Democrat) has publicly supported our police and has maintained collegial relations with the Greenwich Police Department through her work on the Education Committee. . . .
